For ultimate freedom and work-life balance, we have created a unique digital nomad self-drive safari which is the perfect extention to our Coliving Retreat in Cape Town. You can travel at your own pace as a group before you arrive at our remote lodge complete with unlimited WIFI where our experienced guides will meet you at the gates and give you an unforgettable 4x4 safari experience on our private game reserve in the Karoo desert just 450 KM from Cape Town.
Our reserve is steeped in history and diverse wildlife, the game reserve encompasses more than 5,000 hectares of pristine Karoo veld. The sanctuary has many of the species which historically roamed the vast Karoo plains and is set in a magnificent landscape ideal for world-class photography, game and bird sightings and genuine eco-tourism.
Enjoy early morning 4x4 game drives and other activites based around your working day so you can work online or relax at our lodge by the pool.
Digital Nomad Safaris provide remote professionals, freelancers, startups, and entrepreneurs workations and retreats for remote workers who need to stay connected while on safari. Our remote lodge is perfect for groups of digital nomads or remote teams and includes 4 twin/double rooms with en-suite bathroom units with shower and 1 suite with a King size bed with en-suite bathroom with luxury free-standing bath and shower.
Full Board - Accommodation, Meals, and Activities included
Our lodge offers traditional bush luxury accommodation in a 5-bedroom fully catered lodge and a seasonal 10-sleeper tented camp for real fire side chats and digital detox experiences. Other facilities include a dining and lounge area with satellite TV, a secluded lounge with fireplace, braai and outside dining area and an outside deck with a swimming pool, loungers looking over a small watering hole and a woodfired hot tub.

Track Wild Cheetah
The cheetah were relocated to the arid Great Karoo region as part of a conservation project that ultimately seeks to increase the population numbers of cheetah in the wild, and the Karoo forms part of the cheetah’s historic home. Our reserve is the first place to have free-roaming cheetah in the region for over 150 years. The cheetah on our reserve are fitted with GPS collars and are monitored using a combination of telemetry, and traditional track and sign methods developed by the Khoi and San bushmen, the original inhabitants of the area. The cheetah roam free in the wild, which means you will spend time tracking and hopefully getting up close to the cats with qualified guides.
Bird Ringing
Bird ringing, or bird banding as it is known elsewhere, is the process where birds are captured in mist nets, fitted with an identification ring and released.
Meerkat Mornings
Although meerkats have been studied in great depth in the Kalahari and northern parts of South Africa, there have been few studies done on their behaviour in the semi-desert region of the Great Karoo which covers two-thirds of our beautiful country.

South Africa Digital Nomad Visa
South Africa has officially announced the introduction of its new digital nomad visa, inviting remote workers to live and work in the country.
As of March 29, 2024, the South African government has signed the digital nomad visa into law. Although there is still little information about the exact application process, on October 9, 2024, the government released a detailed list of requirements, which we have added to Our Guide below.
