- Work setup: request a recent WiFi upload and download test, a desk and chair photo, and confirmation of call privacy.
- Electricity backup: ask exactly which equipment stays powered, for how long and whether the internet connection remains available. An inverter does not necessarily power every appliance.

How Airbnb Monthly Bookings Differ
Airbnb treats stays of 28 nights or more as monthly stays. Its current guidance describes an upfront first-month payment followed by monthly instalments for longer bookings. A long-term cancellation policy applies, so leaving early may still involve substantial payment obligations.

December to February is Cape Town’s busy summer period. An apartment may have plenty of short gaps but no continuous month, especially across Christmas and New Year.
